I was the one who was constantly off road throughout Central and South America. Covered a lot of miles few people ever dream of and getting stuck was just one of those things that came with the territory. I rememver one section I was in took me 3 days to go 5 miles, mostly uphill. The section was really really bad near the Colombia/Panama border.
